Seriously????
Sometimes you just have to wonder if what you are doing in life is what you truly are supposed to be doing. For example, my class I took in the fall. Mason decided to come 3 weeks early (which I'm so happy about!!) but which made completing my school work a bit difficult. Luckily, it was not a problem to get an extension. I steadily worked on my paper and assignment over the past month. Having it almost completely finished, I was feeling good. On Friday, I went to proofread it and finish up the last couple of pages when all of a sudden the power flickered, the computer froze and then turned off. Whatever, I had it saved. Turned the computer back on and could not find my paper anywhere...no where at all. Thinking this is was just part of my complete lack of technological aptitude, I didn't panic. Brad would come home, find it and save the day. Wrong. Poor guy spent over an hour searching every inch of this computer's database to no avail. Finished paper...gone. sigh. So, being a great husband, he took the two older boys and basically disappeared for the weekend giving me time to rewrite the entire paper, which, may I add, I didn't enjoy writing in the first place. Tonight, I started to print out the pictures I need to accompany the assignment I had to finish as well. Picture one, printed. check. Picture two...not so much. In fact, the little, tiny, portable printer somehow erased my entire memory card. The whole thing. Gone. No images left, not one. HOW does this happen????? Luckily I had just downloaded the pictures to the computer a few days prior (or we'd have none of Mason at all!) But...the pictures I had just taken (which worked perfectly) of a friends little girl this afternoon that I need for my assignment are gone. Now it is 2am...I am still not done the writing of the paper. I have to redo the pictures tomorrow and figure out how to make them into a book and have it all handed in to my professor by the end of the day. Oh, and I have to remain calm, positive and engaged in my children's lives tomorrow. Was I really supposed to take this class?? Well, at least I'll for sure hear Mason if he wakes up and is hungry tonight! Must keep writing...that's the venting session for now! :)

A visit with Santa
Ready with our bells to call in Santa
Doing the Hokey Pokey
"Put your tummy in...take your tummy out..."
Story time
Sweet Santa baby
I've tried for weeks to get a picture of the three boys together. It's HARD!!
This one is so much better than most! (Too bad Jake had just wacked Mason's head on the blue present behind him!)
My babies with Santa. I love how they believe and get such sweet twinkles in their eyes when they see him!

The Christmas/Easter story...with a twist
Jake to his grandpa, aka Gigs
J: Gigs, do you know why we have Christmas? It's Jesus' birthday.
G: You're right Jake.
J: Did you know they nailed Jesus to a cross? They took his hands and feet and put nails in them then he died and they put him in a tomb with a really huge rock in front. Then the next day the rock was rolled away and the people said: What the hell??
Well...pretty sure that's not a direct quote from the Bible but it did almost make Brad drive off the road from laughter. Not sure where he even has heard that expression! Kids...

Gingerbread House Differences
We made little personal gingerbread houses today. You can tell the remarkable differences in personality between my two boys in the finished product!
Jake's: thought-out and precise
Ethan's: happily thrown together every which way (notice the flat roof...he kept breaking the peak while ramming candies on! lol)
Two little boys...oh so different from one another. Wonder what Mason will be like!
